Red Beans and Rice
Sometimes we all need a good dish of Louisiana! I spent the last few days in Alabama and I am ready some good Louisiana food.
When cooking red beans and rice, I start by browning the sausage, then sauteing the onions, garlic, and celery. Then I slow cook the beans until tender. I season them with Panola Gourmet Sauce and Panola Clearly Hot Sauce. Don't worry, I do not over season them.....I have kids too! They are so delicious with homemade cornbread. This is one of my family's favorite dishes.
FYI - if you want to jazz up your traditional cornbread recipe, try adding some Panola Spicy Sweet Jalapenos. It's delicious. Not too spicy - even the kids will eat it. $10/quart

Cannelloni
The manicotti tubes are hand stuffed with lean ground beef and spinach leaves. Once filled, I infuse them with a homemade cream sauce. The flavor is unbelievable and every bite is special knowing that my children helped hand pick the basil and parsley from our herb garden. The manicotti tubes are then topped with homemade marinara from our kitchen, and don't worry, Carter and Ben made sure the herbs hit the marinara too.:) Serve it with your favorite Italian salad, garlic bread and a glass of red wine. $26.00
